Inspired by our summer festival production of MACBETH, Murther is an uncanny concoction of Mafia, with a sprinkling of a Murder Mystery party and a Shakespearean twist. Guests who want to get their hands a little dirty as Players receive their roles, character names, and a little backstory prior to their arrival, and are encouraged to dress up and get into character in the name of all things fun. (CHECK OUT SOME OF THE ROLES AND MORE ON THE GAME HERE.) All Players are automatically eligible to win one of four prizes just for playing, whether they survive the game… or not. Prizes include a free MACBETH 2023 t-shirt and two tickets to our summer fest production! Yes!
But don’t worry, if you’re feeling shy, you can also attend as a Ghost and enjoy all of the treats and activities we have in store without having to play the game. You won’t be eligible to win a prize, but that doesn’t have to mean you walk away empty handed!
The gameplay itself is painfully simple, in the best possible way and will be explained via email once you purchase your tickets. The game itself will be guided and narrated by Artistic Squad member Izzy Sazak (Midsummer Mixtape; Twelfth Night, O Lo Que Quieras), a skillful moderator and storyteller.
As a reminder, other treats and activities include an Open Bar, a Signature Cocktail served by a Professional Bartender, a delicious variety of hors d’oeuvres, a Photobooth with on-theme props; a Silent Auction full of goodies that you won’t want to pass up; as well as a Behind the Scenes design installation for our Summer Festival production of MACBETH. Who knows, there may even be a surprise appearance by Macbeth themselves… So what are you waiting for!
