Each month leading up to the 2013 Festival, we will ask a different DSF audience member to share why they love DSF.
We know different people come to the Festival for different reasons, so we are expecting each answer to be unique.
Deborah Yutzy – Milford, DE
I didn’t know I liked Shakespeare until I was 24. That was when I first went to see a Shakespeare play. Shortly after that, I saw an advertisement for DSF. I didn’t want to go alone, so I dragged my little sister with me.
That was almost eight years ago, and I have “dragged” more people with me to see Shakespeare than I can count – although, to be fair, I rarely needed to drag anyone more than once. Each year, I am pleased to say, everyone enjoys it, from an English major to my three-year-old niece.
I love the camaraderie among the staff and patrons. I love the relaxed atmosphere. I love how close you can be to the action. I love the chance to hang out with friends, and share a picnic. And, yes, I love the plays. Every single one. Every multiple time.
