Delaware Shakespeare Festival is pleased to partner with The Light Up The Queen Foundation and Alzheimer’s Association – Delaware Valley Chapter for a special screening of the documentary, “Still Dreaming.” The screening will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 6pm at World Cafe Live at The Queen. Admission is Pay-What-You-Can. The Queen is located at 500 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE.
“Still Dreaming” follows a group of elderly entertainers living at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in New Jersey and a pair of young directors hired to stage an in-house performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. As the once-celebrated performers struggle with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and physical disabilities, the play’s themes of perception, reality and memory take on new relevance and poignancy.
There will be post-film refreshments, a live Q&A session with the director(s), and an open discussion on the core issues represented in the film.
