Join DSF artists and Wilmington University scholars for an evening of reflection on the stories shared by Delawareans during the “Kate Speaks” program, an exploration of social barriers and Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.
The Taming of the Shrew director Samantha Bellomo and star Felicia Leicht will summarize the insights gained from the community “Kate Speaks” Discussion Groups.
Monologues penned by students at Groves Adult High School will offer up alternative and contemporary responses to the conflicts faced by characters in The Taming of the Shrew.
Wilmington University scholars Lorraine Sitler (women’s studies), Dr. Patrice Gilliam-Johnson (organizational dynamics), and Liz Slater (literature) will offer contextualizing responses and moderate a discussion with the audience.
The concluding Public Forum will be held on Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00pm. Join us at Wilmington University, New Castle Campus Pratt Student Center (320 N. DuPont Hwy, New Castle, DE).
