Do you think you have what it takes to be a Shakespearean actor? Come give it your best shot at the “Lay on, Macduff” Contest during Delaware Shakespeare Festival’s The Bard’s Lobby Faire prior to The Grand’s presentation of MacHomer on May 20.
Aspiring thespians (or just natural hams) will compete to see who can give the most crazed, enthusiastic version of Macbeth’s final line:
Lay on, Macduff,
And damn’d be him that first cries, “Hold, enough!”
The winner will receive complimentary tickets from Delaware Shakespeare Festival and The Grand.
Email your interest by Friday, May 18 to info@delshakes.org (Subject line: “Lay on, Macduff” Contest). Then, arrive at The Grand by 6:15pm on Sunday, May 20. The contest will take place at approximately 6:35pm. The Grand is located at 818 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE.
