Join us before the curtain rises on The Taming of the Shrew on July 31 for wine and light refreshments, and raise a glass to the our friend William Shakespeare … all while supporting DSF’s many education programs, including our teacher training programs, the “Shakespeare: Then, Now and Always” program in local schools and our college apprentice and high school intern programs during the summer festival.
Guests at the Wine Tasting will be allowed onto the grounds at 6pm to set up their blankets and chairs early (if they wish) before joining us in the Carriage House at Rockwood Park. There, we’ll have light refreshments and wine tastings, all graciously donated by our good friends at The Greenery, Home Grown Cafe and Tom Ditzler, fine wine consultant for The Country Vintner/Delaware.
Actors from the play including David Stradley, producing artistic director of Delaware Shakespeare Festival and Horatio in this year’s The Taming of the Shrew, will stop by the party to mix, mingle, and chat with guests. We look forward to greeting you there for our final Friday performance!
Tickets for this special event are $50 and include admission to that night’s performance. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
