Relaxed Performance – Sunday, July 21
Relaxed Performances provide a welcoming, “shush-free” environment that lets all patrons attend the performance and express themselves freely, without judgment or inhibition. This live theatre experience invites and encourages individuals with autism, ADD, ADHD, dementia, sensory sensitivities, medical complexities, physical accessibility needs, and anyone else who would appreciate a more relaxed theatre-going environment to enjoy the performance.
Pay-What-You-Will-Wednesdays
Wednesdays are Pay-What-You-Will at Del Shakes. We strive to make theatre accessible to all. So, on Wednesdays you can choose the price point that is affordable for you. If you can, consider paying more than the regular general admission price of $28 to help cover the experience for someone else.
BILAM+ Artist Night – Wednesday, July 24
Del Shakes is hosting a BILAM+ (Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Multiracial) Artist Night! Please join us for free pizza and beverages at the VIP Tent starting at 6.30pm for all the artists joining, and the performance begins at 7:30p. Wednesdays are our Pay What You Will performances, so you can snag a free ticket or pay whatever amount you feel most able to provide. Tickets can be purchased online at this link, or at the door. And if you can’t make it to this specific performance, there will be $15 industry tickets at the door for every performance. Huzzah
Our Night Out – Wednesday, July 31
Join Del Shakes and Our Night Out for our first LBGTQIA+ night at the festival!
Family Nights (Sunday Performances)
Sundays are Family Nights at Del Shakes. Shows start earlier on Sundays, at 6PM. Family Nights are a great way to bring the whole family together to enjoy Shakespeare under the stars. Children under 12 also get in for free with an adult who has purchased their ticket!
Picnicking on the Grounds
Bring a picnic and dine during the Summer Festival pre-show entertainment. Remember seating is general admission, so bring on your own blanket or lawn chair. And if you don’t have time to pack a picnic, a selection of sandwiches offerings from Janssen’s Market will be available.
If you have a particularly lush spread, let us know and be entered to win the Janssen’s Market Picnic Contest. We’ll take a picture of your picnic, and post it on social media with other entries each week. At the end of the run, our favorite picnic will be selected as champion! You win Shakespearean bragging rights, along with a gift card to Janssen’s and free tickets to the 2024 Summer Festival.
Children’s Activities
Only on Family Nights (Sundays). Bring your children early to enjoy various Shakespearean-themed arts and crafts at our Children’s Activity Tent. Tent remains open during the performance!
