Twelfth Night, O Lo Que Quieras
A bilingual musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night
by Liz Filios and Tanaquil Márquez
with contributions by Robi Hager and Ximena Violante
Join us from July 17-Aug. 3 for our first ever musical production in Rockwood Park! After Violeta and Sebastian, twins from Venezuela, are shipwrecked on the island of Illyria, they find themselves in the topsy-turvy transition following a major political party shift. As the Illyrians and Violeta are on varying journeys for power, protest, and redemption, their twisting stories come to a head on Twelfth Night. This original story combines Spanish, Shakespeare, and a little Fake-speare to create one unique adaptation with lively music coursing throughout.
Check out our Know Before You Go Guide before coming to Rockwood. Wednesdays are Pay What You Will and Sundays are Family Night (bring a child under age 12 for free with a paid adult!). We’ll also be hosting LGBTQIA+ and BILAM+ Night on July 23, and a Relaxed Performance (a friendly, “shush-free” environment) on July 27.
